Clowns

With shoes too big
For normal sized feet
A saddened face
That hides a smile
He makes some laugh
While others hide
With a crippling phobic
Howling cries

Most people see
The comic fun
The red nosed minstrel
With the flash-bang gun
He is skillful
He can juggle
Some can even play the bugle

The circus clowns
on top of their game
The special ones
can be acclaimed
Silent,speechless occasionally talking
The can make us laugh
Just by walking

Answer to Larkin/They do care sometimes

They nurture you and love you
They dry your tears and hug you
They warm chilled hands in winter
When you come in from the cold

They only say the fuck word
When they think that your not listening
Exchanging it for Bucking
To protect you from their sins

As life goes on regardless
You may feel that sometimes
They care nothin for your progress
But you quickly find your wrong

As ancestral memories grip you
And you learn of familial commitments
From campaigns fought in europe
They did that just for you

Grandmother was an angel
Sent down from above to feed you
Matriarchal dominance sways you
Towards the path thats right

I'm sorry Mr Larkin
That your family life was rotten
But please allow my normalcy
To give out honest hope

Some people not as lucky
To have had the care afforded
May agree with your experience
I'd rather tell the people
That families ain't all bad
